News, Updates, and Recent Events
- The project team met with the cooperating and participating agencies on April 1, 2011 to receive input on the purpose and need, range of alternatives, and impact assessment methodologies.
- The project team met with the Billings Bypass Advisory Committee on June 23, 2011 to present the results of the alternatives screening process.
- The alternatives to be evaluated in the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) have been identified. Information on these alternatives is posted on the Alternatives page.
- The project team updated the Level 3 alternatives screening results based on data collection from field surveys and preliminary FEMA floodplain delineation updates
- An additional two alternatives were suggested by the public after the screening process was completed. These newly identified alternatives are currently being screened in a manner consistent to that performed for other alternatives. Information on these alternatives may be found on the alternatives page.
- Newsletter 5 was mailed to individuals and organizations on the project mailing list in August and is posted below. If you would like to be added to the mailing list, please submit a request using the comment form.
